Action Replay DSi is a hardware cheat cartridge that plugs into the Nintendo DSi’s GBA slot, letting players inject codes that alter gameplay on the fly. Collectors prize it as the last official Datel device for the DSi before the 3DS removed the slot, marking the end of an era for handheld cheat hardware.
The slim cartridge houses a USB port for code updates and a small LCD screen that displays active codes. It works only on DSi and DSi XL units; earlier DS models require the separate Action Replay DS.
Pre-loaded codes cover hundreds of DSi and DS titles, from infinite health in platformers to instant stat boosts in RPGs. Users can also enter new codes manually or download them via the bundled PC software.
With the 3DS’s removal of the GBA slot, Action Replay DSi became the final dedicated cheat device for Nintendo’s dual-screen handhelds, ending a line that began with the original GameShark for the Game Boy Advance.
